I used to subtract my date of birth from this date to look at the lcd display of a fragmented "30" on the pocket calculator. With that number I imagined myself 20 years in the future as someone who will like in the movies stare out at the sea from the top floors of a skyscraper, and of course I would be super sexy, have an expensive car and a big house. Today I did the same calculation again against this date. I stay on the ground floor, I have to lose some weight and guess what, there is no huge bank balance either. But then how could a ten year old know what the future holds. The 30 year old is just as clueless.
